Coaching accreditation is a guarantee for the client that they are working with a professional. A certified coach has undergone a rigorous training process and strictly adheres to global ethical standards. By choosing an accredited expert, you can be sure that this is someone who not only supports your development but also continuously invests in their own.

 

To become an accredited coach, it is not enough to complete a quick weekend course. It is a demanding, long-term process that involves immense effort, hundreds of hours of self-education, meetings with coaching communities, and ongoing practice.

 

The path to professionalism: how to achieve ACC accreditation?

 

To obtain ACC and ICF accreditation, a candidate must demonstrate their competencies and meet a series of rigorous requirements:
- complete at least 60 hours of specialized coaching training
- undergo at least 10 hours of professional mentoring under the supervision of a more experienced expert
- complete and prove at least 100 hours of coaching work with actual clients
- record a coaching session that must be thoroughly listened to and approved by an independent ICF Assessor
- pass a comprehensive, 2-hour knowledge and ethics exam

 

Accreditation is therefore a solid confirmation that the coach takes their profession very seriously and strives to offer the highest possible quality.

My journey from manager to accredited coach

 

My first encounter with coaching, in the role of a coachee, took place over a decade ago when I became a manager in the Central and Eastern Europe region. Even then, I experienced firsthand the significant and positive impact it has on a leader's effectiveness.

 

My true professional adventure with coaching as a coach began at a pivotal moment in my life when in May 2024 I decided to end my corporate career and build my own independent practice.

 

Before I fully established a coaching relationship with my first clients, I had the opportunity to re-enter a deep process as a client myself. This step gave me unwavering self-confidence regarding my further career moves, faith in my own decisions, and the conviction that it is worth following my intuition. It was also an excellent opportunity to clear my mind and start acting with patience, certainty, and inner peace.
