Offer / Mental Toughness Development - MTQ

Zdjęcie ilustracyjne w formie artystycznego kolażu na gładkim, szarym tle. Przedstawia wyciętą z jasnego papieru sylwetkę ludzkiej głowy z profilu. Z otwartego wierzchołka głowy 'wyrastają' i unoszą się do góry liczne kwiaty w chłodnej, spokojnej tonacji – odcieniach błękitu, szmaragdu, szarości i czerni. Grafika stanowi piękną, wizualną metaforę higieny umysłu, samoświadomości i osobistego rozkwitu.

Have you ever wondered why, in the face of pressure, stress, and unexpected changes, some people throw up their hands while others manage to stay focused and act effectively? The secret does not lie in innate talent, lack of emotions, or a tough character. The answer is mental resilience, a malleable trait that can be precisely measured and effectively trained.

Mental resilience in business, personal life, school and sports

Mental resilience is our inner shield. It determines how we respond to challenges, stress, and pressure, regardless of the circumstances. The creators of the concept studied through MTQ tests defined it based on the scientific 4C Model, which consists of four pillars:

- Control - the sense of influence over one's own life and the ability to manage one's emotions in difficult situations

- Commitment - the ability to set goals and persistently strive to achieve them, despite distractions and difficulties

- Challenge - viewing changes and problems not as threats, but as opportunities for learning and growth

- Confidence - belief in one's abilities and courage in expressing one's thoughts and defending one's position

What is mental resilience? Discover the 4C model.

To effectively develop mental resilience, it is best to first assess where we currently stand. As a certified user of psychometric tools, I utilize leading market tests from the MTQ family in my work with clients:

1. MTQ48 - the gold standard of diagnosis

A classic, reliable assessment consisting of 48 questions. It quickly and accurately diagnoses your overall level of mental resilience and results in the individual pillars of 4C. A great starting point for coaching and mentoring work.

2. MTQPlus - in-depth analysis

An expanded version of the questionnaire that divides the 4C pillars into more detailed subscales. An ideal solution for managers, leaders, in executive coaching processes, and when building advanced development programs.

3. MTQSport - support in achieving sports results

A version of the questionnaire specifically tailored to the specifics of the sports world. Questions and reports are formulated in a language understandable to athletes, coaches, and sports officials. It helps identify areas that determine fractions of seconds and the ultimate victory in competitions.

Types of MTQ research

Mental resilience is fundamental at every stage of life. I collaborate with various groups, helping them turn theory into practice:

In professional life (adults, managers, teams)

A dynamically changing work environment is a test for every employee and leader. Mental training and MTQ assessment help cope with burnout, facilitate team management during crises, support effective communication, and enable making sound decisions under pressure of time and expectations.

In school and private life (teenagers and parents)

Pressure of grades, exams, expectations from the environment, and complicated peer relationships are powerful sources of stress. The MTQ assessment for youth helps understand why a teenager reacts in a certain way. For parents, it provides invaluable knowledge on how to wisely support their child, and for the young people themselves, it offers a chance to build healthy self-confidence, cope with failures, and learn assertiveness.

In sports (athletes on the field and track)

When athletes' physical and tactical preparation is at a comparable, championship level, the head decides the medal. Working with the 4C model helps athletes manage paralyzing pre-competition stress, quickly bounce back after a lost match, and maintain high engagement during arduous training.

Who is mental resilience training for?

Taking the MTQ test is merely an X-ray of your current situation. The most important work happens during the sessions. In the safe, confidential space of the office or during online meetings, we discuss your results in the context of real challenges. Together, we design strategies and implementation tasks that will help you strengthen those areas of the 4C Model that need it the most.

Why is it worth working on mental resilience?

FAQ - frequently asked questions

Can mental resilience be trained?

Yes! Unlike fixed personality traits, mental resilience is a plastic characteristic. Through appropriate cognitive-behavioral techniques, coaching, and reflection, we can effectively and measurably develop it at any age.

Is a high score on the MTQ always a good thing?

Not necessarily. Very high mental resilience has its pitfalls. Such individuals may take on too many responsibilities or fail to notice that their colleagues are stressed. During the sessions, we learn how to consciously manage our performance.

At what age can the MTQ test be performed?

It is recommended to conduct the examination for individuals from the age of 15. For younger teenagers, parental support is necessary. If you want to take care of this area for your younger child, please contact me, and I will suggest what solutions are available.
