What is mentoring?

 

Mentoring is a very good development tool for those who are open to advice and learning from someone else's experience.

It is a process of supporting personal and professional development, in which a person with more experience and skills (mentor) helps another person (mentee) achieve their goals. This process is based on building a relationship based on trust, sharing knowledge, experience, and skills, as well as supporting the mentee in their development and making important decisions.

How do I work as a mentor?

•    I do not judge the client
•    I maintain a partnership with the client
•    I follow the client and take responsibility for the structure of the session
•    I share my personal practical knowledge, both successes and strategies that have not proven effective in my case
•    I am guided by the principle that this is a conversation between practitioners
•    If I do not know the answer, I inform the client and do not mislead them
